KEYWORD FOR THIS LUNAR CYCLE:

PATIENCE

“The key to everything is patience.
You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.”

WHAT IS THE KEY MESSAGE FOR THIS LUNAR CYCLE?

Card Deck: Soulful Woman Guidance Cards by Shushann Movsessian & Gemma Summers (left) and
The Sacred Self-Care Oracle by Jill Pyle (right)

Main Card: 19. Friendship – I am deeply grate for the gift of friends. My appreciation for them is endless.

Supporting card: 22. Energy Work

Patience may not be the word we want to hear for this lunar cycle, but as we undergo changes and transformation, patience is a quality that is called for.

If you feel like you have been moving through some heavy energy or sluggishness since the beginning of the year, you’re not alone. We have been under the cosmic influence of Mars retrograde and even though Mars is now going direct (so you’ll feel things moving along again), the planet Venus will undergo retrograde soon again and issues regarding our relationships, money, values and love may surface for some reflection and healing.

During this period, it is important to practice patience with yourself. A lot of times we create tension between our heads and our hearts, because our heads tell us that we should be miles ahead but our hearts and our bodies are still not there yet.

Remember the story of the race between the hare and the tortoise. Besides the lesson of humility, there is also a lesson of patience. If the tortoise is not patient with itself and does not believe in itself that it has the capabilities to win the race, the tortoise would have given up at the beginning. The tortoise doesn’t criticize or judge itself. The tortoise doesn’t say to itself “Oh why am I so slow? Just hurry up now, let me move faster.”

The tortoise is being in the present moment, taking its one step at a time going at its own pace. The tortoise does what it takes to get to the final goal.

Sometimes we may find ourselves in the flow of life and things are moving at lightning speed – our desires manifesting, plans coming together, and it is like living in a magical movie when that happens. But sometimes life throws us curveballs and obstacles, and that’s when we need to remember we are like the tortoise in the story. Instead of worrying and feeling scattered, the tortoise has one goal in mind and it is completely focused on crossing the finish line – that’s it. The tortoise is not worried about losing the race or face, and it’s not thinking of how the hare mocked it before. The tortoise just takes its one step at a time.

We are gardeners tending our own inner garden. When we are living in our inner winter / spring season, that’s when we need more patience. We need to rest, tend to our own soil, keep on planting and nurturing seeds without noticing any results yet. This is the time it seems like we are moving slowly with our external world, but it’s because in the inside we are recalibrating.

Recently I’ve started reading Gabrielle Bernstein’s new book called “Self Help”, and she talks about IFS (Internal Family System) which one of the concepts is that we have different parts within us but there are no bad parts.

This lunar cycle’s card “Friendship” reminds us of the support of friendship, and besides celebrating our friends, it’s also about making friends with all parts of ourselves within us. Cultivating a friendship with our inner child, our inner critic, our inner manager, our inner firefighter, and our inner teacher.

As we practice patience with ourselves this lunar cycle, reach out for support from your friends and family who truly celebrate you. Allow these authentic relationships to nourish your soul.

The self-care card for this lunar cycle is “energy work”, which can further support our recalibration of our own heart and resynchronization with the hearts of our loved ones. You may feel drawn to receiving an energy healing session (which is amazing and deeply relaxing). Maybe it’s following an energy meditation or even just imagining breathing in the vibration of love and breathing out heaviness. Maybe it’s going to a sound bath with a friend to enjoy some vibrational love. Maybe it’s learning energy tools so you can ground, clear and protect your own energy more effectively.

I notice that all the eyes in all the cards are closed. It feels like this lunar cycle is a deeply reflective, a sacred contemplative time for us to recalibrate. So embrace it with patience. Practice gratitude. And keep doing what brings you joy.

Daily Reflection: Today, I practice patience in  ____[insert]____.

Try This Affirmation

I am patient and kind to myself.

Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.

You can refer to my blog here at Museflower’s webpage on a simple guideline on how to write your own affirmation.

Feel free to change the words to make it 100% aligned to you.

For example,

Patience is my friend.

I am deeply grateful to my patience.

I have patience in me.

It is okay to move slowly.

I loving moving at my own pace.

REMEMBER TO TAP INTO YOUR INTUITION

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.

I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.

Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?

Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.

Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.

Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
