“Going with the flow is responding to cues from the universe. When you go with the flow, you’re surfing life force. It’s about wakeful trust and total collaboration with what’s showing up for you.”

This 3-card reading shows the energy of the lunar cycle that is unfolding. Together, the cards reveal the bigger picture of this lunar cycle’s theme — Fierce.
This lunar cycle also marks the beginning of a lunar new year, characterized by the “Fire Horse” in Chinese astrology.
As we step into this lunar new year, we are being reminded that magic is everywhere with the card “All the Magic Everywhere”. It is indeed a very auspicious card and goes beautifully with the theme of this lunar cycle, which is “Flow”.
In order to go with the flow of life, we must trust that life is here to support us. It is easy to see that magic is everywhere when everything in life is going well. But what about the times when life becomes challenging, or when we get hit by a curveball? Can we still believe in miracles?
That is what the second card, “Quiet Nourishes Me”, reminds us to do. When life gets challenging, give yourself some quiet time. It may seem like the opposite of the “Fire Horse” energy, but whenever we step into a new energy, we are also asked to let go of the old. Having this quiet time for reflection, meditation, and contemplation allows us to set a clear intention before moving forward.
When I say “clear” intention, I mean noticing whether our intention is coming from a place of love or a place of fear. Is it a soul-aligned intention, or are we simply following societal conditioning or other people’s expectations?
I want to share a story from my personal life of what happened this past week as we stepped into the new lunar cycle.
Exactly one week ago, I woke up with a swollen toe joint that was burning with pain on my right foot. I couldn’t walk properly, and I went to see the doctor right away. I had experienced pain in that part of my foot before, but never as serious or as swollen as this time. The doctor suspected gout, but after a much-better blood test that the doctor expected with normal levels of uric acid, I was given anti-gout medicine in case it was pseudo-gout.
Though my foot was slightly better after an injection of painkiller and anti-inflammatory medicine, my toe joint was still very swollen the next day. I didn’t feel much better physically. Needless to say, this sudden pain threw off all my plans for that week. I had wanted to finish some work before flying to Bangkok for the weekend to accompany my son to join a Lego robotics competition. I wanted cure fast, but I knew I wasn’t getting it from the anti-gout medicine. I also knew the Universe was urging me to rely on its support.
I found a homeopathic remedy for myself, and it started to work. I could feel the pain beginning to lift. Then on Wednesday, after drinking a cup of cacao, I had a big emotional release and healing during a session with my mentor. The next day, after facilitating a cacao medicine circle, our wellness practitioner at Museflower, A, did a quick tuning fork sound healing on my foot. It felt really good. After a nap, the joint was noticeably less swollen and painful. I was amazed by the results and asked if she was free to do another session for me. She agreed.
The next day—the day I had to fly to Bangkok—she did a full sound healing session. She placed different singing bowls on my body and played tuning forks to help release any old, sluggish energy from my entire body. After the 90-minute session, I felt so heavy that I needed to lie down for a nap. I knew it was due to all the energy release. Amazingly, when I woke up, my foot felt 80% better.
Over the weekend, I managed to get on the flight to Bangkok and walk around, though I still had to be mindful about resting my foot as much as possible. As I am writing this blog today, I am 95% better. This morning, I facilitated another cacao medicine circle and a medicine walk. During the medicine walk, I asked nature how I could heal my foot. The wind answered me with another question: what is the pain teaching me now?
I realized this pain was like a reset for me. Because the foot pain was related to the type of shoes I wore, I knew I could no longer wear the hard flip-flops that I loved so much. I had to choose shoes with softer cushioning. The Universe was literally showing me that I could not fit into my old shoes anymore, and it’s time to let them go.
I also couldn’t walk everywhere like I used to. I had to honor my body and be more selective about where I spend my energy on. I noticed I had been repeating some old patterns of thinking again, constantly overthinking about work and not giving myself enough time and space to be creative.
This “quiet” time forced me to pause from all the doing. It helped me see that my recent actions were not fully aligned with my word of the year. And that is the gift, just like the third card, “New Spirit Moon – Hope”. This is the time to realign my thoughts and actions with my soul’s intention.
When we don’t have much energy because of physical or emotional pain, it is already hard to move through life, and sometimes we may miss noticing the mini miracles around us. When I had my foot pain, I didn’t know how I would get better. I could only trust the tiny intuitive nudges that came up. They were like tiny breadcrumbs, and I could only see one breadcrumb at a time. I knew this was how a healing process would flow, but it still required deep trust and faith to follow one breadcrumb at a time, trusting that everything was happening for a reason.
The day when I had my foot pain (a Tuesday), I didn’t know how I could get to Bangkok (on a Friday). My husband even said I could cancel if I needed to. I knew I didn’t want to cancel. That sense of urgency pushed me to be more active in asking for help. When A offered the first tuning fork healing (and she was following her own intuition), it felt so good. I knew I needed to ask for more healing instead of feeling bad or guilty. If I stuck to my thought of feeling bad and didn’t ask for help, then I probably wouldn’t be able to walk in Bangkok at all.
This past week showed me that “flow” is indeed everywhere. It is not only when things are going great in our lives and we feel like we are in the flow. Flow is also present when we feel stuck or in pain. We just need to pay attention to the tiny intuitive nudges that lead us one breadcrumb at a time, guiding us to flow along our own unique healing journey.

The sacred self-care card for this lunar cycle is “Drink Tea”. I am going to add “Drink Cacao” on top of that. This self-care card is about immersing yourself in ceremony through what you drink. It can be tea, cacao, coffee, a smoothie, or even hot chocolate. There are rich ancient traditions and knowledge with tea ceremonies and cacao medicine, and these ceremonies and practices invite us to connect deeply with the wisdom of plants and nature.
So in this lunar cycle, I invite you to carve out a quiet moment for yourself to enjoy a cup of cacao, tea, coffee, smoothie, or whatever you feel called to. As you prepare your beverage, allow all your senses to be engaged in the present moment. Invite all your senses to be present as you prepare and sip your beverage. Practicing this can help you drop into the stillness within, and then listen to your heart. Listen to your inner voice and see what your soul wants to share with you today.
I feel that in this lunar cycle, we are being redirected to act on what matters. I am deeply grateful for the support I received this past week in my own healing journey. And this is my invitation to you— to notice the possibility of experiencing miracles and magic everywhere.
Just like the beautiful lyrics of the song “What a Wonderful World” remind us—can you also see “trees of green and red roses too”? Are you open to receiving the magic of this wonderful world?
I trust the flow of life.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My oracle card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
