1. Open sacred space

Before you begin, be sure to turn off all distractions such as your phone and go to a place where you can be quiet and undisturbed.

Open sacred space by inviting the wisdom of each direction. You may turn your body to the direction, bringing your palms up to your chest level, allowing your palms to face towards the direction.

A simple invocation such as “To the Winds of the South, I welcome you” may do, or you may elaborate your invocation by inviting various qualities that each direction embodies. You may begin by opening the East following the below order, or follow your intuition by letting your body be a compass and start with the direction that your body chooses.

You may also include other spiritual practices to help you drop deeper into your heart space, such as lighting a candle or incense, doing meditation, playing music, or drinking a cup of cacao.

2. Ask your question and pick an oracle card

After sacred space is open, hold the question for the oracle in your mind. It may be a simple question such as “What is the direction for me today?”, or “Which direction would like to show me wisdom today?”

After reading the message of the oracle, you may sit, sing or dance with this direction, or do whatever you feel called to, so you can stay open in this sacred space. Be open to receive any intuitive insights with an open heart and mind. Listen with your soul. Draw or write down your reflections in your journal.

3. Close sacred space

When you feel the practice is complete, you can simply close sacred space by turning to each direction and say “Thank you to the heart of the South. I hereby close the gate from Sacred South”, and so on until you close all directions.

4. Return to daily life with awareness

As you return to your daily life, keep your awareness open to allow insights from the sacred direction to flow through as your day unfolds.

Remember, you are here to co-create with the Universe to live as your True Self. Your energy IS your magic, so be you and no one else.
