DROP DOWN
“You don’t realize it at the time, but some of life’s roadblocks, detours, and rejections are answered prayers.”

WHAT IS THE KEY MESSAGE FOR THIS LUNAR CYCLE?
3. When Coyote Calls Your Name – divine detours, the value of not getting what you think you want, discovering great treasure when you are forced to change course
The keyword for this lunar cycle is “divine detour”.
Divine detour is here to help us drop down into our heart center and to surrender.
In this lunar cycle, we’ll have a chance to feel inspired and let our imagination soar to dream the life we want. Then, we may find ourselves falling down from “heaven” so-to-speak, and facing a reality check.
The best way to illustrate a detour is through a labyrinth.
Below is an image of the 11-circuit Chartres labyrinth which lays on the floor of the Chartres Cathedral just one hour outside of Paris, France. It is one of the three remaining labyrinths from the Medieval times that survived through history since the 13th century and this is the only one that we can still walk on today.
A labyrinth is full of curves and turns. However, there is only one path to the center, and it is the same path out. There are no tricks and dead ends compared to a maze. A labyrinth is designed to relax the mind, and not to confuse it.
But when we are walking in a labyrinth, we may sometimes feel our heads are turning. We want to walk to the center, yet there are so many twists and turns. It’s not just a straight path.
We may think that we are getting closer to the center, yet the path that we are walking on suddenly seems like it is bringing us further away from where we want to be.
That is exactly what a divine detour feels like.
As we are following our path, one step at a time, and then suddenly all these turns, challenges, and obstacles arise. We may think that – this is it! I found my answer! I have my guidance. I have clarity. And as we follow our guidance, the results turn out to be different than what we expect.
The best story of a detour is shown in the cartoon movie “Finding Nemo”, in the scene when Marlin (Nemo’s dad) and Dory (Marlin’s new friend) were trapped in the whale’s mouth.
Marlin and Dory had just arrived in Australia after being helped by the sea turtles, and now they needed to find their way to Sydney. So Dory was calling for help, and a whale came and swallowed them into its mouth.
Marlin was pissed at this point. He didn’t come all the way to Australia just to be eaten by a whale, and he didn’t believe that Dory could speak “whale”. When he was in the whale’s mouth, he kept on struggling to leave, while Dory was just having a fun time surfing the wave inside the whale’s mouth.
Then suddenly, it felt like the whale was going to swallow them. Dory told Marlin to follow what the whale said and just jump to the back of throat, and Marlin refused to let go. He had lots of doubts, but eventually he gave in and listened to Dory and realized that at the end, the whale was helping them and brought them to Sydney.
Marlin is like that inner critic voice that is inside us, the part who doubts and worries. And Dory is like our intuition. Despite having short-term memory loss and never having a plan, Dory trusts, improvises and follows her intuition.
So even though we may feel like Marlin trapped in the whale’s mouth when a detour hits, remember that we also all have a Dory within us.
Drop down to your heart center. Listen to your intuition. Trust your gut, let go when it’s time to jump and take a leap of faith, and just keep on swimming.
You WILL get there.
Daily Reflection: Today, I listen to my inner “Dory” by ____________.
Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.
You can refer to my blog here at Museflower’s webpage on a simple guideline on how to write your own affirmation.
Feel free to change the words to make it 100% aligned to you.
For example,
I let go and trust.
I choose loving thoughts.
I follow my path one step at a time.
I appreciate detours and the gifts within.
I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
