WHAT IS THE KEY MESSAGE FOR THIS LUNAR CYCLE?

Main Card: 25. Elephant Spirit – Learn from the Past
Supporting card: 49. Spend time with friends
As we are still in the midst of this transformative season cosmically speaking (with eclipses , retrogrades and planets moving into new signs), the Elephant Spirit card reminds us that the best way to protect ourselves is to learn from the past.
When I went back to Hong Kong to visit family in March, I realized there were a lot of talk on predictions of natural disasters this year, and these predictions warned people from traveling to certain countries.
When we look at the news, we are constantly bombarded by negativity and fear. Understandably with so much noise going on in the outside world, we can easily get trapped into the same collective fear.
The best way to protect ourselves energetically (and emotionally and mentally), is to listen to our own intuition. Ask yourself, what has been the best way in the past for you to tune into your intuition? What has worked for you in the past for protecting your energy? And turn your attention inward within yourself to preserve your energy.
This time as I was back home I felt that my attention was also drawn to the outside noises, and it felt harder to listen to my own inner voice. Partly it was because I had such a busy schedule till the point that I felt exhausted.
When I returned to my home at Museflower Retreat & Spa and back in nature, I felt an instant sense of relief. I felt more connected to the life force energy around me and honestly I felt more relaxed in nature than I was in the city.
That showed me clearly the reason why my soul chooses to be here at Chiang Rai at this time. Even though all my friends and family are living in Hong Kong, I can only do this work that my soul has signed up to do when I’m surrounded by nature, in this sanctuary that I have built for myself and my guests.
But being in this sanctuary doesn’t mean there are no challenges or obstacles to face.
When I returned to Museflower I was faced with different types of dramas. A few days later my 9-year-old dog Nikko was bitten and killed by my neighbor’s dogs just right near our house. Her sudden death was a big shock to me. I let her out of the house to pee early in the morning and within 30 minutes she was brought back to me, dead, by our security guard.
This was a huge lesson about protection for me. For the longest time in my life, I would let things go because mainly I didn’t want to cause any conflict. If there were something that I could do within my power to resolve it, I would do it myself without confronting others especially when other people were not willing to take full responsibilities.
My staff told me that a year ago, it was the same dog that killed a kitten at our property. At that time, I didn’t say anything to my neighbor as I didn’t want to cause any trouble. Knowing how she acted in the past, I knew she would just refuse taking responsibilities of any sort. So I didn’t bother to say anything to her.
When my dog Nikko died, I realize that in order to protect my land and my property, I needed to speak up. I needed to confront my neighbor and asked her to take responsibility, not for Nikko’s death but for keeping her dogs. She agreed to fix the fences on her side.
I loved the quote at the beginning of this blog – the best protection is courage. I learn that in order to protect myself, I need courage to stand up for myself. I need courage to speak my truth. I need courage to do what is necessary to protect myself and my loved ones.
It takes courage to stay true to our inner knowing and not be swayed by others’ opinions and expectations.
It takes courage to voice out our own boundaries to fiercely protect our inner peace.
In the past I stayed silent to avoid conflict. Now I learned that I needed my voice even more to protect myself.
In the past I would be easily be affected by the collective fear. Today I am still affected but at least now I can see that and refuse to buy into these stories of fear.
And this is protection based on love, not fear.
The self-care card for this lunar cycle is to spend time with friends. In a way it is a continuation from last lunar cycle’s theme. Surround yourself with people who cherish and celebrate who you truly are. Spend quality time together to cultivate positive vibes. Create memories that are meaningful. Share your true feelings and hold space for each other.
Learn from the past, and take off any rose-tinted glasses. Even authority figures, best-selling authors, spiritual teachers, practitioners, astrologers are just human beings. I have seen way too many so-called spiritual teachers and practitioners who do not walk their own talk, who refuse to take responsibilities, who think they are more superior than others, and whose ego is bigger than their heart.
Not one human being is more superior than another. We are all on a same healing journey here on Earth.
Look at what’s happening in your own life and around you now. Are there similar topics from the past that have come up again? If so, how can you learn from the past? Instead of repeating the same mistake, give yourself the courage and the voice to protect yourself.
In honor of Nikko, my first dog love who has now become my fluffy angel.
Daily Reflection: Today, I protect myself by ____[insert]____.
I have the courage to protect myself.
Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.
You can refer to my blog here at Museflower’s webpage on a simple guideline on how to write your own affirmation.
Feel free to change the words to make it 100% aligned to you.
For example,
I am divinely protected.
I trust in the Universe.
I protect myself with love.
I stand up for myself.
My voice is my protection.
I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My oracle card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
