In this lunar cycle, we are reminded that the way to experience bliss in our lives is to accept the invitation of our soul and to respond to our soul’s calling.
As the card wrote, what is your soul calling you to do?
The last month of the year is always a great time to reflect on the achievements of the past year, and what tasks on hand we still need to complete before the year ends. At the same time it’s also a great opportunity to think about what we want to manifest and create for the new year.
I’m so grateful to have facilitated our second Sacred Rest with Nature Retreat with my friend Youmin Yap at Museflower Retreat & Spa at the beginning of December, and through the retreat I received more clarity of what I want to manifest for 2025.
There have been a couple ideas circulating in my mind for a few years already, but I had never brought them into fruition. Perhaps it’s the fear of failure. Perhaps it’s a fear of the commitment and the hard work. Perhaps it’s the fear of the unknown.
So I tell myself I’m not ready yet. My kids are still young. I’ll wait till my youngest goes to school. I’ll wait till my health is better. I’ll wait till I have finished this and that before getting started with my ideas.
Perhaps it’s because my dreams seem too big and I seem too small. But now after the retreat, I feel ready. During the retreat, I’ve been constantly reminded that I am safe with my voice, that I can trust my voice and that I am here to share my voice.
And I understand that’s what brings me bliss. Sometimes it feels uncomfortable to first step out of our comfort zone in order to answer our soul’s calling. Sometimes it requires us to have courage to be vulnerable, and to trust and take a leap into the unknown. Afterall, we don’t know exactly what will happen once we do listen to our soul’s calling. But we do know what will happen if we don’t – we stay where we are familiar with, and we feel safe with that.
Sometimes our soul’s calling is so simple that only requires us to do something different than what we’re doing now. Perhaps it’s just to sleep earlier. To take a day off. To draw or cook something. It’s so simple but it requires us to break out of our current routine.
Sometimes when we feel like we don’t hear our soul’s calling is because we are asked to wait and to be patient. We are reminded to trust the Universe. Sometimes events must unfold at the right timing for us to be ready to act. As Colette Baron-Reid wrote in her oracle card decks, what is yours will not be withheld from you.
If you feel that you are in your headspace a lot, constantly thinking or worrying, then that is not your soul’s calling. That is your mind trying to control the future. If you feel that your heart is wanting to do one thing but your mind is trying to convince you otherwise, then know that your soul’s calling lies in your heart. And ask yourself this question, if I have all the money, time and support in the world, what would I do? Would you allow yourself to follow your heart’s desire then?
The self-care card for this lunar cycle is about creating art. With the holidays coming up, even though it’s easy to get caught up with the busyness of celebrations, I invite you to take an opportunity to create some form of art just for yourself and just for fun. It can be drawing a silly Christmas tree with your kids. It can be collecting leaves and flowers in nature and creating a mandala. It can be a small doodle in the corner of your notebook. It can be a fun dance party just for one.
Simple is bliss. Bliss is simple. That is the philosophy of Museflower Retreat & Spa, and from what I can observe from nature. So this is my invitation to you – how can you cultivate more bliss in your life? How can you answer your soul’s calling this lunar cycle?

Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
