Card Message for the Year 2023: Growth

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The work of life is to develop it.
The meaning of life is to give your gift away.”

WHAT IS THE KEY MESSAGE FOR 2023?

Card Deck: Soulful Woman Guidance Cards by Shushann Movsessian & Gemma Summers
Card Deck: The Starseed Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

Main Card: Being with Discomfort – At times of discomfort, I courageously seek my soul essence, which is clear, pure and luminous.

Supporting card: Lost Lands – Soul memories and gifts. You’ve done this before.

When I first looked at the main card as the message of the year for 2023, I was like, “Oh no, not again!”.

Just looking at the word “discomfort” brought feelings of discomfort. But since we already have a taste of its wisdom back in November 2022, I know that discomfort is here to bring us growth.

And as confirmed by the supporting card “Lost Lands”, growth is here to bring us gifts. Rather, growth can help us remember and rediscover the unique soul gifts that we all bear when we are born into this world. I believe that our soul gifts are here to help us carry out our purpose.

DISCOMFORT = GROWTH = GIFTS

The year of 2023 is a year of growth and a year for breakthroughs. It is time to take a leap of faith, and a step outside of our comfort zone to expand our potential.

When we encounter discomfort, obstacles and challenges on our path, we are asked to inquire within, return to our soul for guidance and to pay attention to listen.

The woman’s eyes in the main card are half-open, reminding us to strike a balance that we are all part of the world but we do not need to be attached to anything in the world. It’s the balance between spirituality and materiality, honoring both our spiritual and human selves.

It’s important to return to our inner heart and to listen to our soul’s calling, yet it’s also essential to be able to seek support and help from outside.

We do not need to do everything alone. We have both our spiritual support team from the transcendent realms to guide us, and we have our physical support team here on Earth to support and love us for who we truly are.

Growth is not without pain, yet it is part of a natural process. When we look at nature, everything grows. When it looks like it stops growing, it’s because it’s transitioning to another phase of life. The growth doesn’t stop even though it may not be visible to the naked eyes.

So in the year 2023, for some people there may be growth happening that is easily spot by others. For some others, there may be growth internally, even though on the outside it seems like nothing has changed much.

Whether or not the growth can be seen by others or not, it is only significant that we are aware of our own growth and our own process. It is important to let go of comparison and to focus on our own path.

The supporting card “Lost Lands” provides a beautiful reminder for us that we have indeed all done this before.

If you feel called to make a change in your life, whether it is starting a new career, traveling to somewhere new, or just trying out a new hairstyle, trust that your soul self is wiser than what you think. You have all the resources and gifts that you need to do what you are here to do.

When we dare ourselves to do something different, we can start to discover aspects of ourselves that we are unaware of before. It doesn’t mean that everything we discover about ourselves will be rainbows and unicorns. Just like how most babies will start off as a messy eater, the journey of self-discovery can often feel messy and chaotic.

But it is in the midst of this chaotic mess that we learn to discern what is aligned for us and what no longer serves us. In other words, we continue to build on what’s nourishing for us, and we let go of what’s not working for us anymore. That’s how we can discover our gifts, the treasures lie hidden within ourselves that are waiting to be unearthed and to be seen and heard by you.

May you find peace in growth. May you find purpose in chaos. May you find beauty within you.

May more of your gifts be uncovered to shine more light to the world.

Because you are, truly, both a beautiful spiritual being and human being.

Self-Inquiry: What is the one thing that you can do different this week? Think tiny and begin with the first baby step to make it happen.

REMEMBER TO TAP INTO YOUR INTUITION

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.

I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.

Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?

Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.

Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.

Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
