“If you live in harmony with nature you will never be poor;
if you live according what others think, you will never be rich.”

Card Deck: Sacred Cycles Oracle by Jillian Pyle & Em Dewey

10. Thirteen Moons – I trust my inner wisdom

In this lunar cycle, we are reminded to return to ancient wisdom and our own innate power.

The card “thirteen moons” refer to the 13-moon calendar, where there are 13 months per year based on the lunar cycles. Each lunar cycle has 28 days, beginning and ending with the new moon when the night sky is completely dark and when we can’t see the moon.

Ancient civilizations had been tracking the cycles of the moon to live in harmony with the land and nature. Nowadays, some religions and cultures still use the lunar calendar to find important dates for ceremonies and rituals, for example the lunar new year is celebrated every year in Asia. Some farmers also use the lunar calendar to plan for planting and harvesting.

My card reading blog is also based in the lunar cycle to help us be more aware of the energies of each lunar cycle.

It’s interesting that this card is picked exactly for the lunar new year, and I love that the thirteen moons in the card also remind me of our Museflower’s logo which has 13 stars around the flower.

To me, 13 has always been a magical number. It’s related to the sacred feminine, and just like the thirteen moon calendar, it appears to be unconventional but if you dig deeper, it represents the ancient sacred feminine wisdom that we have lost touch with.

One of the things that we have lost touch with in the modern world is to live in harmony with cycles – whether it be nature’s cycles or our own inner circadian rhythm and hormonal cycle.

Human beings used to rise up and get on with their days when the sun is up, and when the sun sets, people know naturally that it is time to rest, eat, and socialize with families and friends. As technology becomes more advanced, our senses are constantly bombarded and we start to forget tuning into our inner rhythm both physically and metaphorically.

On the physical level, most of us are glued to our phones and devices even at night times when we are supposed to rest and sleep. It’s been proven that bluelight from our devices can disturb our sleep. According to Cleveland Clinic, roughly 1 in 3 adults worldwide suffer from insomnia symptoms, and our lifestyle habits are one of the contributing factors to insomnia.

On the metaphorical level, most of us are conditioned by society to be productive all the time, and that we must be doing something to feel like we are making use of our time. We forget that just like winter time and night time are important for all the trees, plants, flowers, and animals to rest, we also need downtime to rest not just physically, but emotionally, mentally and energetically. Even though we have this downtime every night, we may also experience periods of downtime, just like winter lasts for a season.

I remember that when I started learning about my own hormonal cycle and how to live with it instead of against it, it really transformed my life.

And it is this remembering – the return to the ancient wisdom, the return to the sacred feminine, the return to our own inner rhythm and our intuition, that will allow us to live in true harmony with our mind, heart, soul, and with nature.

What are you being called to remember and to return to this lunar cycle? What wisdom and practices from the ancient civilizations do you feel drawn to learning more? It can also be a reconnection to your own roots and ancestors, or to your own intuition.

Remember, all of these are serving as a gateway to return to your own power within.

Daily Reflection: Today, I return to my own power within by   ____________.

Try This Affirmation
I return to the ancient way of wisdom.

Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.

You can refer to my blog here at Museflower’s webpage on a simple guideline on how to write your own affirmation.

Feel free to change the words to make it 100% aligned to you.

For example,

I return the wisdom within.

I trust the way of the sacred feminine.

I trust my intuition.

I am open to the wisdom of nature.

I live in harmony with the cycles of nature.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.

I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.

Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?

Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.

Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.

Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
