31. Being with Discomfort – At times of discomfort, I courageously seek my soul essence, which is clear, pure and luminous.

Change is the only constant in life, and yet a lot of us are scared of change because change is uncomfortable. It takes us out of our comfort zone, and this is what this lunar cycle is all about – stepping out of our comfort zone in order to upgrade to a better version of ourselves.

Imagine yourself as a 4-year-old child who is growing taller. Your old pants that you have been wearing since you were 3 had been so comfortable that you didn’t want to take it off. But as time goes, you are growing taller. The 3-year-old size pants are getting tighter and shorter and increasingly more uncomfortable to wear. That’s when you know – it is time to change into a new pair of pants that is more suitable for your current size.

That is what discomfort is here to show us. Because this lunar cycle’s theme is all about upgrading, when we feel something is off and no longer aligned, it means that we are growing.

We are reminded that as we grow and evolve and continue to “upgrade” to the better version of ourselves, we will feel uncomfortable with these growing “pains” at times and it is okay.

Just like a caterpillar must be brave to enter into the cocoon and surrender to the darkness in order to transform to a butterfly, even though we do not know what’s going to happen next as we step into the unknown, we need to trust and have faith that all that happens and unfolds is always for our highest good.

The key here is to allow ourselves just be with the discomfort and see where it takes us.

Our brain is hardwired to avoid any pain so usually when we encounter any challenges, we want to fix the problem right away so we can be pain-free again. For example when a lot of us feel headache, we want to pop a painkiller immediately so we can get on with our daily life again.

But this lunar cycle is reminding us to stay with the discomfort, just for a bit longer.

Let your discomfort be your teacher, show you where you are growing, and guide you to the right answer that will unfold in the right time.

Of course it doesn’t mean that we need to sit in pain all the time. The woman in the card is surrounded by orange red flowers, butterflies and birds. As we are growing, it is important to continue nourish ourselves and remember to do things that we love and enjoy.

It is also important to spend some solo time this lunar cycle (added bonus if this can be done in nature), especially when we feel triggered, exhausted, burnout, depressed, bored or hopeless.

When we can have our solo time to connect with our own spiritual self – in this case I mean the divine part that is within us, we remember that all the discomfort we are experiencing with growth is just a phase, and all phases will pass.

So have faith. Have faith in the divine part that is within you, because that part knows that the discomfort does not last forever. The divine part within you knows that discomfort is just a guide, and like any other negative emotion, it is there to invite you to explore parts of you that are longing to step out of your comfort zone, to stretch your horizon and to step into freedom – the freedom to be your true authentic self and to do what you have come here to do.

Daily Reflection: Today, my mini breakthrough is __________________.

Try This Affirmation
I allow my discomfort to guide me.

Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. A great tip is to write your affirmation on a piece of paper and place it somewhere you can see every day as a reminder.

You can refer to my blog here at Museflower’s webpage on a simple guideline on how to write your own affirmation.

Feel free to change the words to make it 100% aligned to you.

For example,

I have faith in the divine part of me.

Every day I have a mini breakthrough.

It is okay to feel discomfort. Discomfort is my guide / teacher / friend.

I allow myself to step out of my comfort zone to grow.

I am growing into my fullest potential.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.

I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.

Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?

Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.

Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.

Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
